Why is there a fee for "Lifetime access?
2021 Ford Escape Service and Repair Manual
If I download it to my computer why do I need lifetime access? Also, my current computer will not work with Windows 11 so I need to get a new one by the end of this year. Will I be able to transfer the software to the new computer?

However, if you choose not to purchase lifetime access, the download link provided will only be available for a limited time. This means that if you lose the manual after downloading it, we won't be able to extend access to the download link as the manual will no longer be stored on our server.
